block letter "MOM"

LIke with the earlier stylized MOM design, conserve your ice by using on 5/8 of a block to make this sculpture rather than using an entire block.

This is another ice sculpture design that has long been a part of my Mother’s Day collection. If you carve this piece out of a thin slab (40”x20”x4-5”, then you should add a base for stability (not shown; 20”x10”x4”). The design doesn’t cover the full width of the ice because usually the sides of a Clinebell block are a little uneven because of the clips that were removed. These surfaces should be recut whenever possible. The rose in the center of the “O” is fairly easy to carve using a die grinder fitted with a cone endmill bit.

If you have any questions about this piece, email me or comment below. If you would like to use this ice sculpture design or any other design on this site, please check the design usage guidelines. The design collection page lists designs on the site.
You might also find photos and info from this entry on the ice carving secrets facebook page and you can comment there as well as below. Thanks!
